In other words, signatures should be entertaining (not mandatory). JMO.

Just an FYI. Lots of users use Tapatalk to access the forum. Signatures do not show in Tapatalk.

So should the forum get a bunch of wasted post from members that have inaccurate info because we are all GUESSING on what YEAR/MODEL RG we all have or should the answers be more accurate because the members are more informed. Some may say that Sig's take up forum space but inaccurate post waste more space on the forum then a SIGNATURE.
I dont understand why your so adamant about making something like this mandatory? I understand that some people dont realize model differences but a RG is usually NOT someones first bike and should know models can differ greatly. As such, all listed info is helpful. Besides if they cant be bothered to take the time and list model/year info at the time of the asked question, then why take your time to help them? We might be a nice community of folks but a touch of common sense goes along ways when you start getting technical.

I agree with ONG and several others, when im on the moto app, I never see sigs. The only time I have to jump on the computer, is after work and usually I can find better ways to spend that (mrs garvin90).

Sigs are cool for new guys like me. As I'm trying to learn who everyone is but I'm sure some of the longer ones can get annoying for people who have been here awhile and already know everyone. The word mandatory is scary. lol

I think you hit the target perfectly Gunny (what's new).

I already know the members are riding a RG. I remember the "who" part by their "handle" and sig line. THEN we get to the topic by reading their post.

Even if they're the OP, listing every single bling/part/mod they've ever done is so overkill it's pathetic. Re-listing THEIR bling/parts/mods every single time they post a reply to someone else is annoying tripe. Making it mandatory? HAH... never mind.

And while you're at it, make this stuff mandatory too:

1. Only opinions I agree with allowed
2. No duplicate questions. How many times does "will my stock cables work?" and "What height windshield should I buy?" have to be asked?
3. All spelling and grammar must be correct.

You catch my drift. This would make forum viewing much more pleasant for me, and after all, that's what it's all about.

And I also think everyone should take the same serious approach to signatures as I do.

I feel okay saying this because it will benefit those who don't know (and if you think people don't notice, you're incorrect): (1) Its and it's are entirely different words. (2) Two, to and too all are different words as well.
