It is here on the site just need to find it. rather simple to do really .
Picture of mine being done in the shop . They put it on this for me ,I was in no shape to do it.
He did just like I did lined it all up had tape on the bike marked the holes drilled them.
Just be careful you do not drill into the tire that has happened

Thanks everyone for the comments and feedback (and tips, I could see hitting the tire).

Ordered parts and hope to post pics. Had to dig in the parts catalog to get the color match (Big Blue Pearl)

Can't wait...

Talked to the guys at the dealership, told me it could not be done. Normally they are good, hope to show/share with them once done.

I also like the tip about the older light since I want to keep my existing assembly.

Here is a thread with some pictures. Pretty much the way I did it. I put a small piece of a 2x4 between the fender and the tire for "just in case" as the bit goes through the fender pretty easy. Slapped some painters tape on first, then line up the fascia up on the fender and then mark the holes...

All went well, I'm very pleased with the results.

Good tips:
The wood behind the fender when drilling was helpful.

Also was good to remember the color wire corresponds with which numbers when putting the new connector on the light.

1= White
2=Red
3=Black
