been a police officer for 23 years, doesn't bother me but, I have seen a few guys get themselves in situations while wearing said shirt around certain folks in the biker community that don't much care for the police, then wish they had made a different wardrobe selection. Know your audience

Good tips. But, I will add a comment about HiViz vests. I wear one all the time. What I noticed is the people that look won't pull out as soon. They seem to wait at a farther distance than when I didn't have the vest.

Now the big BUT. I get left turners and those that pull out from a stop sign just as often because they don't even bother to look. No amount of HiViz will help with those idiots. Once yesterday and once today I had to brake for a left turner and a stop sign runner. I always anticipate that the diriver will pull out and am ready. I feel it is my job to drive for everyone else if I want to make it home.
