New Tail light for my '11 Ultra

I bought the BAL 1R last summer after reading about them on this forum. All I can say is WOW, the best safety device you'll ever put on your bike. It wakes them all up, behind you. Ride safe.

Jeebus, I thought H-D was "Hundred Dollars" when did it switch over to $250??
Back in 2001-2002-ish I went through a couple bikes, spent a crap-ton of money on goodies for them, and then finally settled on an Ultra Classic and kept it for nearly 10 years.
Now with the RG I've dropped close to $3000 in goodies into it and most people couldn't even tell where it was spent. The one thing that I haven't bought is lighting stuff, primarily because it's the one category that has gone up a TON price wise from 10 years ago. I switched out all the lighting on a WideGlide, and most of it on the Ultra Classic for what seemed like reasonable money then, now the prices just seem obscene.
Most everything else has stayed pretty constant it seems, but the bling stuff has gone nuts.
Maybe I need to go back and review some receipts just to double check.

+1 and the guys I ride with swear AT me if I get to the stoplight in front of them...grin.

To be truthful, there are 2 of us that have BAL's, and we always ride sweep when in the group. Keeps everybody a little safer.

Have had "disinterested" cage drivers tell me that they knew I was stopping from a mile back, and others on the dark rural South Dakota highways tell me that the knew I was up front of them from several miles back. I like that kind of feedback. Highly recommended.

And...mrcorvette...thank-you for thinking of your brothers and sisters! It's this kind of post that makes me proud to be a Harley owner, a Road Glide rider and part of this forum!

I've got one of those on my 2011 RGU and it is one bright ass taillight! I had the Kuryakyn Panacea taillight on my old Road King and it weak compared the the Brightass taillight.

The state of MN does not allow flashing, strobing, or modulated brake lights, the exception being emergency vehicles. However, bicycles are allowed to have a flashing white light to the front and a red flashing light to the rear.

I like it, but I won't mount a big ass light on my fender, takes away from the look. I do however want LEDs and a flasher on the lights I do have back there.

I like how yours strobes, just a couple quick flashes. I've seen some that flash too many times, and because of this, cagers don't actually know when you're stopped because it just looks like you're on and off your brake. With yours, it stops flashing when you're sitting still, but remains very bright... very nice.
