Sounds like you had a interesting time. I have been in Japan off and on for 6 years and it takes a lot of patience--I totally know how you feel to leave. Having the base and not working with a lot of Japanese makes it manageable living here. Not knocking the Japanese at all but if it was my choice I would not live here, one of those "it is a nice place to visit". Have a safe journey home...

Well up at 3AM, can't sleep. Finally home. Took care of the 3 hugs and my conjugal visit. The trip as a whole was interesting to say the least. Japan life is fast paced, expensive, and hard to deal with people that never make eye contact. They just look at the ground and mumble something you can't understand. I'm tired of hearing gozaimasu for sure. I'm now on another non rice,fish,cabbage diet to get my system back in order. I woke up early craving some fishy tentacles for breakfast.LOL I think I'll have some bacon, eggs and toast with my coffee and get back into using adjectives in my speech.
