Yet ANOTHER Tour Pack installation question

I've searched this up and down and can find all sorts of answers, some agree.....and some don't. One says I need this harness, others say I need that one, and yet another says I need this one AND that one, but to get the "Brand X" part.

I am putting a King TP on my "06 Roadie. I want it all to work as HD intended, including the radio and speaker functions. It has the light bar on back and the ligt strips on the side and I want those to work in concert with my brake, run, and turn light circuit. And since I have the 4pt hardware on already, I want to mount it on a quick detach mount.

Would someone that has tackled this recently please look over my list and see if it's complete? I would like to have all parts here when the painter finishes.

I can't speak for the audio but when I added a TP to my 01, there was a three wire harness tucked up under the side rail. My TP only used two wires, running lights only. I imagine the third is for the brake.

Good luck with the setup. After renting an Ultra Limited in Florida earlier this year, I used the King Pak at every turn. I went the rigid mount on my bike...it's just too damn useful on an everyday basis to take it off!

Hooked it up and the lights work perfectly. The speakers have an issue though The volume doesn't seem to work and the speaker switch on the front nacelle turns ALL the speakers off.
Love the TP, but I do feel the extra weight.

Gotta get your HK radio reflashed at a HD dealership to the 4 speaker setup. Sounds like most dealerships do it for free.

When you push the switch forward it does shut them off but if you plug in your headset you will hear them that way. the back speaker volume works when the passenger is plugged into their port as will their lever for changing the stations

So the passenger volume only works with the headset? The channel change works fine. Which kinda ticks me off. I don't care if she wants to turn it up/down, but changing channels and source????
