Just for reference, I just bought a 2001 RG w/46k mi., 510 gear drive cams, t-header, and Power Commander for $8K (no tour pak) and I have been told and feel like I got a good deal.

Not sure if you indicated whether or not it had gear drive cams, but I am a firm beleiver in them. Some people don't like the noise, I find it to be very insignicant. As far as engine size, mine is stock 88", gets ridden very hard, and I don't find myself in need of more power, however I don't ride 2 up or in the mountains much. (even w/stock Magnetti Marrelli injection)

Good luck, you won't regret it.

Peace

the 88 isnt an issue at all , will do the job just fine , almost 600,000 on two 80" EVO Tour Glides and they were up to the task no problem

Not a bad price at all with the low miles and extras. Dealer maintained with records is an added bonus. If you don't snag it quick I'm sure someone else will.

Looks like the guy has taken a lot of pride in the bike and has had good care the cam tensioners or a issue with the 88 it will need to be inspected and should be updated as soon as you can it is cheaper to address it before it causes you a big expense congrats and welcome

Not really, not one dont buy it post, the only questionable issue he has taken care of. The tensioners should be good for at least another 25k before ya need to check them again, that takes all of an hour to do yourself, and if you can wrench replacing them yourself is reasonably easy. The gear drives are another can of worms, the tensioners were replaced and then checked, that is a good bike right there go for it before its gone man!

I think this is a great deal! I am surprised he still has it at that price.
