Wild 1's, 515 10" Mini apes install
Hi Guys:
In about a month or so I'm having my indy install Wild one mini apes, (no new cables) 10", on my 07 RG. At the same time I'll have a set of SE255 cams put in. I already have the all the parts needed, including adjustable rods, for both jobs. Can you tell me what time (hours), would each job take? (just so I have a ball park figure).
Thanks..

I believe the cams should take about 3 hrs. Handle bars depend if you are doing heated grips and internal wiring. Could you post pics of the new bars sitting on your stock bars before install ? I wouldblike to compare the diffetence. Sounds like exactly what I've been looking for. I was recommended the wild ones 513 but I'm nit to crazy about the bend back.

I can tell you I have the exact bars I installed on my bike just after i bought it. I had never done bars on a RG before but due have a manual and am a mechanic for a living. it took me about 4 hours but I took my time and had to figure out running the wires internally as these bars are NOT able to run extrenal also you will have to reroute the clutch cable but it will fit just fine. and having to figure out how to get the fairing back on for the first time. On my last bike 2010 RK I did a set of 255 cams but came in from the top(no cut pushrods) and I would have to guess straight through with bearings it was about 5 hours. once again first time ever opening up a Harley motor so I took my time. so if you are having someone do this that has done it before I know they will be way under my times.

Thanks...so I guess I'm looking at 6-8 hours, give or take. Thats fine..my Indy was the local HD chief mechanic but decided to go on his own. He charges about 1/2 their rate...

All of the estimates I got for installing cams with adjustable push rods was 4 hours, both indy and HD shop. Bars are usually time & material. The worst part about the bars with internal wiring is putting the terminal housings back together.

My local indie will do cams for a flat rate of $350. Bars shouldn't take more than4 hours. I did mine bars in 3.5 and I had issues with bleeding the clutch.

That's a great price, jump on it. Not sure if you have exhaust yet, but if not this would be a good time to do that as well since it needs to come off to do the cams.

I'm "hoping" that will be it for a while lol...(righttttttttttttttttttttttt)
