I would recommend sending your stock seat to Mean City Cycles and have them rework to your specifications. Below is the link to the forum thread where they are a sponsor. I recently sent my stock seat to them and this seat just seems to get more comfortable every time I get on it.

Unfortunately there is no best or right answer. Every body is different. The modification route is as good as any and you don't have an extra seat sitting around the garage.

I bought a Sidekick Seat off evilbay bout a Year ago. Sent it to Alan @ MCC and had him do the Memory Foam and a Gel Pad. UNBELIEVABLE results!
I'm 6'-3"s and weigh 270. I weighed 323 when I sent the Seat to them, but still!,...he's the 'Way to Go'.

btw, I like a 36" inseam. 34" seems like ya are lookn for Flood Waters. LOL!

Thats the great thing about MCC, they can move you up or down, forward or rearward in seating position. I asked them to lower mine 1.5" and back .5" and gave them my dimensions (height, weight and inseam) and they some how worked their magic.

I have had my Sundowner on two bikes and over 70k without any complaints. It is the seat my wife picked out for her comfort and has worked very well for me.

Default Mean City!

I love my stock seat with the MCC Double Decker mod. I had a sundowner on my Wide Glide and it looked like a couch. It might not be so prominent on a Touring bike, however. MCC modded my stock seat in 2010 and I took it on a 7,000 mile ride with 800+ miles on the first day. After a few break-in hours, the seat was dead on comfy. 20,000 mils later, it's just as good.
