Angry Issues with P2318 and P1510 Codes

Anyone else out there that had these codes when they put new bars on? I ran with the extended TBW from Harley so I wouldn't have t o slice and dice, but now these codes are coming up. Any help or suggestions? I can't be the only one out there.

THANKS!

code-P1510 = EFI Limited Performance Mode

There are two position sensors in the twist grip. one reads 0V at full throttle and 5V at closed throttle and the other reads 5V at full throttle and 0V at closed.

If the volts coming back from the 2 sensors dont add to 5V, or one sensor gives a voltage that doesnt make sense, then it raises the code.

You might have a loose wire in the TGS green connector in the bars.

I had that code on mine and looked it up, replugged the connectors and that sorted it out.

i suspect the other code would be tgs related as well but do not know what it means for sure

Yes, check the colors in the manual or online in relationship to the plug

Not sure about the extended TBW HD setup but the stock TBW has TWO sets of wires of the same color. Make sure you didn't get those reversed.

You can look up code meaning in the troubleshooting section.

Thanks Phil- it's the same set up as the stock one, just extended in to the fairing.. Only problem is the don't give you a wiring diagram to go with the new plug.. Kind of a guessing game I guess.

Thanks!!
