Hobo' trim looks good.
Papy's suggestion on steel'n the trim to cut the shine before installation is something to think about. Too late for me - mine is installed.

I saw a thread where a member mentioned xtrim back in May. I ordered it for a 1700 mile trip I was taking in June because I knew my stock one would not make the trip.
It was WAY worth it! I would have paid double to not have to worry about it falling off and not having to look at that sagging crap rubber on my bike.
Trust those who bought this trim! It's great!

Default Auto Zone trim

Tried the trim from Auto Zone. Looks so much better than the factory stuff. 18' ought to last a while too. $11.99. The trim with the chrome on it was a couple $ cheaper.

believe it or not super glue on the stock trim works great even on a windshield with leftover factory crap on it. also you could check out the RG CVO mounting systems on, at least 10's and later. nice flat rubber insulator and alththough useable with either a std or WS RG (slotted) windshield, CVO pt # 57300013 is a nice set up (flat trim only) or 57744-11 RG CVO std curve, 16.4" light smoke windshield or they make a cvo 12 in WS with the same flat rubber and no slot windshield. you can't look those parts up online though, need the dealer computer. or of course cb.

Did the windshield kit. Wasn't overly impressed. Yes it stays on. There is no glue so that's another plus but it leaves a nice sized gap between the windshield and fairing. I liked the look of the stock trim better. Just my .02

Just pulled the trigger on the shield & fairing trim. Stock trim on windshield fell off awhile back. Fairing trim has started to come undone. Good time to switch everything!

Like someone else said, just use a hair dryer and slowly run it along the trim to really melt the glue while pressing down with your fingers.

Did that with my fairing trim pieces, and they're still on there solid. I don't use the windshield trim because I personally don't see any purpose for it.
