Default Homemade saddlebags?

Anyone here ever make their own saddlebags? I've been reading a lot on the subject. Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult, and if you can get it right in the first few tries, could save wuite a bit of money over purchasing them? Anyone make their own or work with fiberglass that can give pointers?
Any good websites out there for a how to?

Interesting subject-project. Haven't seen this topic before. Good luck on the research.

There is a guy from Suzuki Volusia forum who built his own fiberglass bags.
I was gonna do them for my winter project, but crashed the bike and got a Black Betty instead, and she came equipped for everything. lol

The only pointers I can think of off the top of my head, would be to mold in some steel washers where the fastners go through to secure them to the bike. Just plain fiberglass there would not be super strong and could break sometime. A little extra steel there wouldn't hurt.
Other then that, would be pretty cool. I've been throwing the idea around of making my own razor pak, but I've seen fiberglass ones selling on ebay for $125. It would take that much in materials to make my own.
