Sturgis 2014 - Trip planning Help!

How do you guys normally get to Sturgis? A few friends & I are going to ride out this year. We were planning on 4 days to get there.

Day 1

Concord NH to Buffalo (via Albany NY) - approx. 500 miles

Day 2

Buffalo NY to Muskegon MI (Via Cleveland OH) - approx. 500 miles - there are few who cannot cut thru Canada....

Day 3

Muskegon MI to Milwaukee WI - 2.5hr Ferry ride then Harley museum

Milwaukee WI to Sioux City IA approx. 500 miles

Day 4

Sioux City to Sturgis SD - approx. 375 miles.

Any hints? places to stay etc??

103 Stage IV, V&H True Duals with LA Choppers Slip-Ons... more to come!

Add about 75-100 miles to the last leg depending on route. Your estimate is a little off..... unless you're a crow.

Best route from Sioux City is go up I 29 to the Worthing exit, and jump on SD44 That will take you all the way across South Dakota. Nice wide 2 lane, very little traffic, and plenty of gas stops. And you don't have to deal with truck traffic. This will help with construction SD44 actually looks pretty clean this year.

And best of all, once you cross the Missouri river, it's like hitting a geological switch. The scenery gets really awesome. And SD44 takes you through the Southern Badlands.
