Going from TX to NM, CO, UT and ID

Hey Yall,
Im planning a 10 day trip from central Texas through Albuquerque NM, Durango CO, Salt Lake City UT and Boise ID and back. Id like to keep the cost down for lodging so I was thinking about camping somewhere like a state or national park or even a RV park (if they allow tents). Does anyone have any suggestion on what to see or where to stay?
