Talahina, OK

or Talimena, whatever the place is called.

I am riding it with my wife this coming Sunday. To those that have ridden it, what is the best route?

We have done the Talimena run a few times. Have not found a route I did not like yet.

Take a look at the (2) map links and pick some roads and just have at it.

Very nice! I too have done a lot of those routes. Looking forward to cooler weather for a ride up there.

Well, there's Talihina and then there's Talimena .... which one? (It's all kind of the same area.)

Me and the new girlfriend just rode the Indian Highway a couple weeks ago near Talihina - pretty cool road with lots of twisties and virtually no traffic. Wanted to do the Talimena Scenic Drive but didn't have time. Next time it'll have to be a 2 or 3 day trip.

There's not a bad route over the Parkway. If you need a place to stay over, try Mena Mountaintop cabins in Mena, AR. It's a really cool place and very biker friendly. We've made that ride several times and just haven't found a bad route.

Which ever way you go stop at the lodge for lunch. You won't be disappointed.
