Utah Hwy 12

Just spent a long weekend on Utah Hwy 12 from Bryce Canyon to Torrey Utah then on down UY 24 and UT 95 past the northern edge of Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Recreation area. This is a must do ride. Hwy 12 is one of only 27 US scenic biways and its a remarkable ride. First night I camped at Calf Creek recreation area - small campground but worth the stay - just don't try crossing the stream, the roadway is covered with algae and slicker than ice. (Yea - I dropped the bike about 3/4 of the way across - scratched the crash bars and bruised my ego but that was it - though I needed help getting the bike upright)

Anyways the ride is amazing. Not the twistiest but just non stop scenic views that have the same degree of "WOW" factor as Cali Hwy 1. Just wish I could get some of my pictures loaded onto this post.

2019 Wicked Cherry RGU. And an even bigger smile than before.

We may have to have you lead a ride at SWIII, now that you are an expert on the route. That creek sounds like a route that Hutmo's GPS would take us

As to the pictures, I found the easiest way is to upload them to a photo site, like Photobucket, then post links to the pictures in the forum thread. It cuts down on the storage required here, and you can post the links wherever you want to inside the posting. You can actually post links to just about any picture you can find on the Internet. Here is a posting of a picture of the highway from Wikipedia;

Just be careful of copywrited images. This one says it is Wikimedia Commons, which is supposed to be freely copyable.

In theory, Theory and Reality are the same. In reality, they are different.

Sounds like a great week-end. Hopefully you will get the picture thing figured out. We would all like to see them now that you brought it up.
