Northern Cali. Trip Suggestions?

I could use some help from you fine folks that have traveled or live in northern California. Myself and two other couples are doing a fly and ride out of Reno the end of the month. Seven days to see some of what the area has to offer.
So far the rough list of places to see are the Redwoods, Pacific Coast, Napa Valley, Giant Sequoya trees, Yosemite and back to Reno. Possibly a ride over the Golden Gate Bridge just because we are in the neighborhood. Not interested in any other sites in that metro area. We would rather stay away from the populated areas and the traffic, so not sure if seeing the bridge would be worth it. I know with this many places to see we won't be able to thoroughly take in any of them. Hell, we could probably spend a week in Yosemite alone.
No routes planned yet, so any must see routes, roads, mountain passes and attractions would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I am a little concerned with all the fires raging and how this may effect our travels.

A few ideas for the trip. HWY 49 (anywhere along it's route) is always a nice ride if your not in a hurry to get someplace. Also, on the way to or from Reno, take old Hwy 40 from Soda Springs up/down to Truckee. It is an awesome beautiful drive. It has some nice curves as well as views. If your going to Yosemite, go in on Big Oak flat road, then out the South end past the Big trees. Nice ride. Or do it in the reverse. If you come in from the South you can't beat that first glimpse of the valley as you come out of the tunnel! If your headed over to the Coast try Hwy 20 from Willets over to the coast. Nice curvy road with some awesome views as well. I have lived here in Nor Cal my whole life, and know almost all the roads. Hwy 128 from the coast all the way to Winters is also a nice road. That will help you get to Napa as well. As an alternate you can go from Yosemite over Tioga pass down to 395, which will take you right up into Reno. It is a beautiful drive. If you come to Napa let me know I might just hook up with you, as I live not far from there. I have Friday, Sat and Sun's off. hope those ideas work for you.

An awesome ride from SF area is up 101 to Eureka, then over 299 thru the Trinity Alps thru Weaverville (side trip hwy 36) to Quincy and Chester and beyond, or you could catch hwy 89 headed back to Truckee or go down Hwy 70 thru the Feather River Cyn (from Sf on this route is over 900 miles) but you can catch it from Reno too and deviate anywhere. Hwy 49 is nice. Theres 120 thru Yosemite, also 108 thru Sonora. The list goes on.
It may be easier to look on a map and highlight the roads I mentioned and you can see how they intersect. Just keep in mind that the foothills will be cooler, and the valley will be hottest. For reference hwys 5 and 99 that run from So Cal to Oregon are in the valley so those areas will be hottest.

As far as fires the biggest one is around Clear Lake but they say its almost 75% contained, so the end of the month may be better by then.

Mods are: Fullsac 1-3/4" baffles, Ohlins 6's (HD357), color matched chopped tour pack. Bluetooth stereo with Arc Audio amp and Focal speakers. On the bucket list; Ohlins drop in fork cartridges and the install of Fuel Moto catless 212 SS headpipe

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. This will be a great help. Good suggestion on highlighting all these roads on a map. Will make it easier to chart a course. Can't wait to get their and take in all the great scenery.
Is booking a room on a daily basis easy enough or would we need to plan out further than calling ahead for that night?

You shouldn't have too much problems with hotels. Are you traveling on Labor Day? Unless there's some big event going in a town it could be booked. You could go online say like on a best western site and check availability, if a bunch of hotels are booked there's probably something going on in the area. But I've never had an issue.
