Harley Rental In Vegas

Has anyone rented a Harley in Las Vegas and road to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon? If so, can you share your experience? I'm planning a trip. Thx

Q-Hog, a few years ago I went to Vegas and rented a Street Glide from Eagle Riders and rode out to Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and many other places.
The rides were terrific. Scenery is breath taking.
It also made my choice of purchasing my 2012 Roadglide much easier as I did not care for the Bat Wing.

Eaglerider takes your money up front with your reservation for the whole rental period.

Compare cancellation policies just in case of inclement weather. Eagle rider's terms are death, pregnancy, deployment or serious medical condition that cancels your trip altogether, with a doctor's proof of death, pregnancy and medical condition.

Harley is much easier to deal with in my opinion but you will pay a premium for a touring bike over a regular car rental. Expect 150$ a day and to have a 2000.00 security deposit put on your credit card.

I have rented with both and prefer HD over Eaglerider. I usually travel with 1 credit card dedicated solely to the bike rental and security deposit and I use another credit card for my accommodations/meals and fuel. It helps with the accounting after the trip.

Hoover dam is worth the trip. You can't stop on the new bridge but there is a parking lot on the west side where you walk out to the observation area. Tour of the dam is worthwhile if you're into industrial stuff and how it works.

Here is a nice loop ride for a 1 day blitz.

Thanks fellas. I've been there a couple times on my bike but I might be flying in to Vegas for a few days and wanted to make the most of the trip. I'll do some inquiring. Thx again.

My brother and I go to the SEMA show in LV every year. We go two days early and rent bikes from Harley. If you have already been to the dam, consider going up I-15 through the river gorge and Zion National Park. The scenery is one of a kind

I rented one for the day from the HD dealer in October, don't remember the price because i used mostly Harley credit card points. You do get a HOG discount if your a member and you have to bring your helmet or rent one. I did the valley of fire ride and stopped by the dam.

Harley rental

My son rented a bike for his brother-law last year. He went to Enterprise car rental and got a Fatboy. He says the price was cheaper than Redrock Harley. Give them a call, might be worth it. Whatever you do, enjoy the Ride.

I never rented a Harley but there are a lot of places in the Vegas area that rents them.
You didn't say what time of year you're planning on taking the trip but it is the wrong time of year to head to the Grand Canyon's north or south rim. This is winter and the north or south rim is cold and snow covered right now, You can see a little bit of the Grand Canyon if you go to the Skywalk which is between Boulder City and Kingman AZ but you can't ride a bike to the Skywalk because it is mostly dirt road and it is rough as hell.
You will run into cold and possible snow if you head north the Utah to Bryce Canyon too. If your trip is later in the spring then you may be able to ride to these location weather permitting.
It isn't all bad news there is tons of places to ride where the weather is warmer such as Death Valley or the Mojave Desert.
Just incase bring your heated gear and a helmet you will need a helmet in NV & CA but you don't need a helmet in UT or AZ.

Ok speaking on local experience with rentals. Eagle rider and enterprise are the cheapest , however their bikes can sometimes be questionable. I requested a road glide from eagle rider when my bike was down and was placed with a 2012 with quite a few miles and a very sketchy front end.Enterprise had reserved me a street glide and when I got there the only bikes they had were one fatboy and one softail deluxe. Las Vegas harley keeps their entire rental fleet as current year model or 1 year older I believe and actually had the bike I reserved when I showed up. They are slightly more expensive but you can pick up earlier and drop off later than any other option. As far as riding there are plenty of 100-150 mile rides around vegas. The lake mead loop is good as well as valley of fire, also check out pioneer saloon if you get the chance.
