Seattle to San Francisco Trip - Interested?

Posting this in the hopes of getting 20 riders to participate. Bikes will ship from Florida. Tour is from Seattle to San Francisco. This promises to be an outstanding ride - and on your own bike. This is all the information I have at this time. For more information please contact Wanda Kenton Smith at the email listed below.

Scoots

Our West Coast Trip is July 22 - 31 from Seattle to San Francisco. It's going to be awesome!

We'd love for you to join us! Any of your rider pals can join us as well. They don't have to stay with our crew - they can get out there and ride their own route if they want, or they would be welcome to join us. They would just have meet us onsite for bike offload on the 22 and pick up on the 31. We have a great package for those who want to ride the mountains and coastal roads out there! It is a once in a lifetime opportunity --- Mount Ranier, Crater Lake, the Redwoods, Eureka, Napa area, San Fran Golden Gate, San Jose Mountains, Monterrey/Big Sur ... I can't wait!

We're trying to secure up 20 bikes so we can all take advantage of my incredible transport rates/
12 bikes minimum = $1200 round trip drop off and pick up - Seattle/San Francisco (Sturgis best price RT we could find was $976) But if we got 20 bikes to go from Florida, it is only $600 each!!! Amazing rate!!

Please let me know if you or any of your friends might be interested.

I will take it to larger motorcycle platforms as needed, but wanted to check in with my friends first.

Best,
Wanda

Let me know if you'd like some route planning help and if folks who are on the route might be able to connect up and enjoy some of the camraderie!

I'm in the SF Bay area, can make a few recommendations for "San Jose Hills" and Monterey areas.

You have to take them on Skyline Drive and a beer at Alice's Restaurant.

I'm from the Seattle area and was planning on making that trip by myself. Let me know if it's cool if I tag along with your group. Should be a great ride.

+1 on Alice's.

I'm in the Sacramento Area and we go down there for lunch from time to time. Niles Canyon from 680 to Mission is another great ride.

If you can possibly fit it into your schedule (it's a little out of your way), Highway 120 over Tioga Pass into Yosemite from Highway 395 in the east is a must do ride if you've never been riding in California before.

If you cannot fit it into your schedule, then try this alternative on your way south.

Coming from the north on Highway 101 just south of the Redwoods is a small town called Leggett, CA. Take Highway 1 south from there through more Redwoods and over to the coast. Follow Highway 1 south through Ft. Bragg, Mendecino, and Albion, CA and take Highway 128 east back over to Cloverdale, CA. That will take you from the coast, back through more Redwoods, and into the Wine Country. If you stay on Highway 128 after crossing Highway 101, you can take the back roads through the wine country, passing through Calistoga, and St. Helena, CA. Then catch Highway 29 south, just outside of Rutherford, CA and end up in Napa, CA, the Heart of the Wine Country.

That route will provide many opportunities for wine tasting as you pass numerous wineries along the way.

I might add, if you are wanting to spend a night in wine country, stay in Calistoga. One very cool town with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance with a very cool old town feel. All the building have been fixed up. My favorite place in all of wine country to stay.

Depending on timing, SF - Seattle is on my list AGAIN this year. If you come down, maybe I could join for the ride back if the timing is right.

This is also a must-do road: https://goo.gl/maps/3EnyF27JJCF2
