I don't think you're saying that you're staying in Savannah but there is a nice bed and breakfast that caters to bikers from what I read in a magazine years ago. If you can hit Poopy's on Friday night, that'll be bike night in the summer with bands and I think free camping. Quite a scene from what I've heard. The Ironhorse is cooler than Poopy's in my book, WAY cooler stuff there, but the food at Poopy's is damn good. Frank Fritz also has an antique store in Savannah, a lot of stuff, nothing amazing but it's cheaper.
In Leclaire, depending on what you're looking to do. I've heard the Blue Iguana is a pretty good restaurant, Sneaky Pete's is a dive bar and food type of place but it must be pretty decent cause my old boss was there all the time. There is a pretty cool small batch distillery downtown on the river side. Free tours on the hour and a sample at the end. I've also heard there is now a micro brewery next door. There is a lot of junk stores downtown and candy places. The Shameless Chocoholic is off the main road, but it's pretty good if you like that kind of stuff. They are right about the Pickers place. Anything that is for sale is either overpriced souvenir crap, or antiques that if you have to ask how much it is you can't afford. Seriously. The stars won't be staffing the store, but they do have some of the cool things from the show like the buried Indian and stuff. I've been told Danielle has a clothing store downtown, but never heard anything more about it.
That's about all I can tell you. It's been a while since I've been that way. Have a great trip! Oh, and most of the roads suck in Illinois! Haha.
