California Roads - be Pashnit!

I see a lot of threads about people riding to and in California. This endlessly fascinates me because 1) this is my home state 2) this is a great chance to peruse the map and find roads not yet ridden.

After seeing and responding to a few of these threads, it seemed like a good idea to revive a site that there are a few threads about, but everyone could enjoy seeing even if not for the first time:

Check it out.

This year I want to do the southern side of this range and hit the Angeles Crest Highway. Still haven't ridden Mullholland. So many roads....

When you ride Mullholland, you'll want to do it early in the morning if you plan on riding on the weekend, traffic gets crazy on that highway when the crotch rockets come out. I did it late afternoon during the week and traffic wasn't too bad.

Let me know when you plan to come to SoCal.
Those roads you mentioned are my stomping grounds.

found the site 6 or 7 yrs ago researching a trip from texas to oregon. did 6000 mi. in 27 days and had only about 150 mi. on the interstate. hwy 36 from susanville all the way to the coast and on the return did 299 along the trinity river back to the central valley. it's a great site. here is the link to my log of the trip, the forum is great you can give a link to your freinds and they can follow your trip.
