From Connecticut to Milwaukee and back
An Army buddy and I just finished a fantastic ride from West Hartford CT to Milwaukee WI and back. 2,325 miles and the 2017 RGS Stage 1 performed wonderfully. Was able to stop at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD; Stubenville, OH; Fort Wayne IN; 3 nights in Milwaukee; Kenosha WI; Ann Arbor MI then home. Several days of real bad rain. Traveled from Ann Arbor MI to West Hartford CT in 12 hours (700 miles straight). Last 2 hours in a pouring rain. Toured the Harley Museum and factory in Milwaukee. Met crazy folks on the way and had a great time. Took the ferry from Milwaukee to Muskegon MI to miss some of the crazy weather and driving around Chicago. Weather forced us to stay a few days in Abderdeen MD and Kenosha WI. The bike averaged 48 mpg and forced me to cruise at 80 mph. Friendly people across this great Nation. Smitty drove a 2007 Heritage Soft tail classic and let me tell you, he has "stones" of steel.
