Shipping bikes to Maine, then south to ????

We are from Arizona, 4 with 3 bikes, have two weeks middle of Sept.
We want to ship bikes to Maine, then see Nova Scotia, then ride south as far as we get, staying close to shore, if that works for a good ride. Don't know much about the NE, so any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Also, the idea of a list of members in different areas is a great idea.

Welcome to RoadGlide.org.

The Maine Coastline has a lot if Islands so you do a lot of miles without travelling very far if you know what I mean. Just look at some detailed road maps of the area.

Places that are worth exploring, in no particular order:

Acadia National Park and the ride up the summit of Cadillac Mountain.

A lobster meal at any of the Lobster Shacks that you will come across.

The easternmost city; Lubec, ME

The West Quoddy Head Visitors Center

The crossing at Calais, ME was small and not crowded

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park

Bar Harbor, ME

Here are some photos I took while visiting the area.

I have not personally done the cabot trail, yet.

I have read some good articles on it and determined that it will definitely be in my future.

RoadRUNNER?s Bucket List Roads: The Cabot Trail

I good view of the road conditions starting at about 10 minutes in. Just bikes and music so you can mute if you want.

This one allows you to slide your curser along the bottom and quickly go to scenic parts of the video to see the road and sights.

Do the cabot trail counter clockwise. Puts you on the outside lane all day. All the places to look out are in the outside. Wonderful day around the peninsula. We enjoyed it so much we did it a second day before we headed back home.

Thanks for replies.

Now looking for info from Bar harbor down to Conn or to Boston area.
Again, staying near the shore, but looking for interesting or historic places.

Thanks
