18" RC Components Wheel

This is a 18"x 3.5" RC Components Czar chrome wheel non ABS. I had it on my 2006 RG. It should fit 2000 thru 07 maybe 08 touring with1" axle. I originally ran it on my 04 Electra glide as a front. Being a machinist/tool and diemaker for 40 years I made a pulley side hub from billet aluminum and used it as a rear in conjunction with a 21" front on my RG. As pictured I have the right hub, rotor, and bearing spacer to convert it back to a single disk front wheel. Neither rotor bolts or replacement bearings are included. I considered switching the hubs back to a front before selling but thought someone might want it for a rear. Rotor will not work as a rear because front and rear rotors are different diameters. Everything pictured $280 OBO plus shipping.

Is it not possible to run this as a double disc front? I've been looking for something to replace the stock 16" on my 2000.

In order to run as dual disc you would need to purchase the dual disk hubs from RCC. They bolt through the wheel as you can see in the first picture. They "sandwich" the wheel as can kind of be seen in picture two.

As far as replacing the 16" it will work just fine. My wife has a 2006 with an 18" rcc. Handles and fits under the fender great.

It definitely looks better with only one disc. How much braking power do you lose by just having one?

Here is my other one that I converted.

I've done the single disk conversion on two road glides. I would suggest, but you don't necessarily have to, putting a master cylinder on it from a soft tail. They have the proper feel and are designed to operate a single disk. The bore of the cylinder is 9/16 (I think) vs. 5/8". That's what I did. You can use your exiting caliper. Which I did initially as well. Later I switched to a six piston hawg haulter caliper. Then there's no worries. Think about it the heritage has only one rotor and is designed to be a two up trip bike. You will need to get a new brake line as well.
There has been plenty posts on this forum over the years on this topic if you're up for digging for it. I'd help all I can.
