Seat has about 4000 miles on it, condition is excellent, with a small rub mark from my boot (see pics)
Rider seat has no backrest, since I prefer to use the front of the pillion seat as a backrest. Pillion seat has backrest, and front is not recessed so it can offer good back support to rider.
Pillion backrest gives the bike a clean look without side plates.
Great seat for Road Glides, since it makes the fairing feel closer to you. Super comfortable for a half-day ride, but not pillowy, so you still feel well connected to the bike. If you want to use it for a full-day ride (8+ hours), it takes a couple of days to get your butt used to it.
I took this seat on a 3,000 mile ride on my 2017 Road Glide Special. Days averaged 400 miles, with some as long as 600 miles. I'm selling the seat because I sold the bike.
I'm 6'0, 220 lbs, and 63 years old. I ride about 10,000 miles a year. Here's what I liked/did no like about the seat:
- Excellent riding position relative to the fairing and floorboards. I sat straighter than on the stock seat, which was great for my back and neck, I felt better connected to the bike than with the stock seat.
- Comfort was excellent for about 4 hours. For the next four hours, it was acceptable (I was never sore, but I wasn't in butt heaven, either). After 3 days longer than 8 hours, I got used to it.
- The seat is not so fat or wide that it ruins the lines of a Road Glide Special or Street Glide Special. It looks good with the backrest and no sissy bar, keeping the lines of the bike nice and clean. It does not look as good as the Corbin solo does. The Corbin solo is gorgeous, but not as comfortable for me as the Mustang.
- My wife loved the pillion seat. Said it was super comfortable and let her see over my helmet. She weighs 130 lbs.
