Why did you take it off? Can it be used without the thermostat?

It can be used without the thermostat. You'll just use the toggle switch to turn it on and off

i got it in April. Traded my Glide for a Ducati so I took it off prior to giving to dealer. The thermostat wedges in on the cylinder fins and measures temp and opens when needed. In my opinion, it makes the system better because otherwise, if you walk away with the switch on, you could run the battery down. Its not likely as you will hear it but, the thermostat is a nice safeguard and puts everything on auto pilot.

overall, the system help decrease cylinder head temp and prevent the shutdown of 1 cylinder when it super hot
