I'm willing to bet our dogs are related. My boy is a running fool.

I used to have a dog that was obsessed with running. In fact, if I wasn't going fast enough he'd turn around and grab the leash in his mouth and run backwards jerking on the leash. That guy wore me out!

Unfortunately he only lasted 15 years. To this day his nickname in my house is "Best Damn Dog Ever!"

Milo pulls that tug on the leash crap with me as well.....lmao.....he seems to better my time on most occasions. They are great running partners.

Signed up for Lacamas Lake 1/2 marathon on 7/28. This will be the farthest I've ever ran. Should be fun, unfortunately no dogs are allowed. Milo will have to support me from the sideline with mama.

Molly is the first we have ever had to "walk" ..

We live on five acres in the country on a major highway and she is just so hyper , about fifteen months old , so still a lot of puppy in her for a spell yet ..

The others all learned our lines real fast and never wandered off at all ..

Our best dam dog ever was with us from 1988-2001 , he trained his younger "brother" well , he was with us from 1996-2011 , a close second ..

In my youth I always wanted to run , but my knees always gave me fits ..

Wife's uncle passed away in 2009 .. He was a runner , traveled all over the country running .. Was always a top finisher in his age group ..

I remember back in the mid 90's we rode up there on the Tour Glide , stopping over nite on vacation , Aunt Sally says "Charles is out running" .. Not long after he comes in , "just ran eight miles" , I'm breathing harder at this keyboard than he was that day and he was around 72 or 73 ..

That is remarkable, I am new to the long running. I hope I'm healthy enough to continue into my golden years. I ran in the military but usually only in formation. This will be a notch on my bucket list for sure.

My current lab Milo is 11 mos. old. He has alot of activity to him to say the least. Walking and running him seems to calm the ruffian in him. Sounds like you spend alot of time friending your dogs as well.

Our dogs have been our kids , they rule the roost ..

When River had to be put down in May 2011 , we said he was the last one , too hard to say goodbye ..

All until Molly have been lab or a lab mix .. As a pupp she looked like she had lab in her .. wasn't a lab within a thousand miles when she was born ..

Think there may be some Basenji in her

Charles ran marathons on up into his 60's , finishing always in the top five or ten in his age group , but continued to run till the last couple years

He mighta weighed 125 pounds

Well I completed my first half marathon last Sunday and met my goal of 2 hrs.
I ran 13.1 miles in 1:56:36. What a great challenging course. Looking forward to the next one.

Hi Kabanshee,
Thanks for suggesting the runkeeper application, may I have the source of runkeeper application please! Having your workout journal always helps to measure your progress and add motivation in your workouts.
