South Beach Diet
If you really want to start loosing weight quickly, avoid all starches, carbs and sugars for 2 weeks: No potatoes, no sweet potatoes, no fruit, no sugar, no bread, no corn, no carrots, no pasta, no grains, no alcohol.
eat beans, eggs, Vegetables, leafy greens, nuts, and low fat meats and cheeses only.
Eat 3 square meals a day, and snack in between meals with celery, LF cheeses, and nuts.
Eat as much leafy greens and celery as you want. You should feel relatively full on this diet. You dont want to starve yourself! Snack sensibly!
After 2 weeks, add one whole grain to your daily diet: one piece of Whole grain toast, a bowl of old fashioned oats(not the quick cooking kind) or brown rice.
After 2 weeks of adding some grains, start introducing some fruit, like a small apple, pear, grapes etc.
a tablespoon or two of peanut butter on fruit or celery is tasty and good for you. Try not to eat more than about 15 nuts when snacking between meals.
Try to stick with this diet.
Yogurt is ok at this point too, but avoid ones with sugar. plain yogurt with berries is good.
Have a glass of red wine after dinner or choose a low or no sugar dessert. if you need to have a beer, drink a guiness. It has very little calories.
This will be your diet forever.
Now when you fall off this diet, like eating ice cream, cake, cookies, or go binge drinking, go back to the first part of the diet with no grains fruit etc. for 2 weeks again, and slowly go back to the 3rd stage of the diet.
It will work. i lost 13 pounds the first 2 weeks, and lost 30 pounds in a little over a month. I didnt need to lose that much weight, and never intended too, so i splurge a little more often. Im a carbaholic, and could live on crackers, bread, pizza, beer and cocktails.
But this diet has worked really well for me and my fiancee.
