Yep, thatís all part of my plan which includes low carb (but not starving myself of veggies and salads), ďhighĒ fat, eliminate grains and minimize sugars, intermittent fasting, and *average* daily calories of 12-1500 with an occasional ďfeast dayĒ thrown in... Iím hoping to be well below 300 lbs by Shark Week...

Keep at it, that weight took a lot of time to pack on, it doesnt always shoot off. I have been pretty strict on keto for 7 months now, or so I thought. I had plateaued around 235 for 6 weeks. That was between thanksgiving and Christmas, but I didnt cheat once over the holidays. I knew I wasnt doing something quite right so I started tracking macros for a couple days. I was getting way too much protein and to little fat. We started doing shakes for breakfast to make sure the fat was up. BAM, 10 more lbs dropped in 1.5 weeks. I have also started adding a lot of heavy cream and avocado oil to stuff. I started at 315lbs, this diet is doable while eating real foods and not starving yourself.
I would also start planning your escape and getting that right in your head. My "plan" is to stay low carb for a very long time, but I would like to get to a weight I am comfortable introducing fruits and slightly higher carb veggies like carrots. I dont plan to eat much bread, rice, pasta or potatoes for a very long time. With my activity level and body type, I simply cant eat those foods. Certainly sucks since those are some of my favorites, but I have proven most of my life that those dont work for me.
I wish everyone the best of luck. Kicking sugar and carbs can be very hard yet worthwhile when you are nose to nose with diabetes at 35 yo. That was scary, but the real motivator was my kids. I barely wanted to get off the couch with my sore back, feet, pretty much everything. That's no way to live.
