Question Progress reports

How's everyone doing with out smoking? I have 2 weeks in(quit on my 51st birthday)with the help of the patch. Sure don't miss the smelling like an ashtray. Tougher than quitting drinking(12 and a half years). Soon as I'm off the patch I'll have some extra cash for the bike and maybe even a new gun.

Good luck with quitting smoking. It's a tough battle but one you can win. They say that after 2 weeks the physical addiction is over because all of the nicotine has been processed through your body. But then there's the habitual addiction to deal with. I used the patch for 2-3 weeks and then just quit cold turkey (not what everyone should do). I've been off the butts for 17 years now. Keep up the good work!

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” - HST

Smoke free for 9 months now and no cravings at all. Good luck to everyone on the quitting thing.

Great Job ~ I have quit twice for over a year and the beginning of this year a month ~ It will happen eventually ~ I did it all three times cold turkey ~ no fun for sure ~
