can't see attached pictures

I am not able to see pictures attached as thumbnails. I see that there are thumbnails attached, but there is no link or thumbnail present to click on in order to see the full size image. I posted thumbnails in my intro thread, and cannot see those either when I go in the post. Any help appreciated.

thanks.

Sounds like it might be a security setting in your web browser preferences. Sometimes you have to allow or "trust" or "whitelist" a site before everything is viewable.

Can you tell me what browser you are using and if you are on mobile or desktop? I want to try and replicate this.

I've had a similar issue using FireFox on my work computer. No issues at all on my laptop at home withMS Edge. If it is an attachment, I can see it, but if the picture is inline, I don't even see that a picture was there.

I figured it out, although I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm using IE. I get a popup at the bottom of the screen that says "only secure content is displayed" and there is a button that says "show all content". If I click that button, the page reloads and the pictures show up. Unfortunately I have to do that on every single page.

Hey there,

Give this a try:
Tools>Internet Options>Security tab>Custom Level button>Display Mixed Content>Enable (was set to "Prompt")

Let me know it that resolved the issue for you.

That is the forum software's inability to read exif data for the image. You would need to put the image in a photo editing program, rotate it, save it and post the newly saved image. File directly from a phone camera will often post sideways.

I have the same problem with IE. Don't have the issue using chrome.
I use a laptop.
