cylinder head bolts

Hi .im new to the site and am running a 2010 road glide.
I have about 40,000km(25,000miles)and just found out I have a broken cylinder head bolt.I haven't done any work to it except stage one.
Has anyone else encountered this or is it just bad luck.I love the bike and am planning a 2 week trip down the coast.Always interested to hear what others have to say...cheers

Is it a cylinder head stud or a rocker cover bolt ? You need to take the rocker cover off the cylinder head to access the cylinder head stud, also if a cylinder head stud was broken you should have running issues with the engine because there is a good possibility that there would be a blown head gasket. The cylinder head stud has threads on both ends and it is not a bolt.
