Right front pad drag

I went to check the tire pressure after riding only couple blocks (and chasing a front end wobble bearings in front/rear, neck, pivot shaft) to find that my right side disk brake was HOT left side was not...Is there any way to shim that or get the pad to not rub.

It's possible the pistons in the brake caliper are dirty and the pistons are not returning all the way causing the pads to constantly rub the rotor.
If this is the case you will have to clean them.
If the rotor got extremely hot it's also possible that it's now warped.
If you get a vibration form braking this could be the culprit.

Thanx MikeU I don't have a vibration, I'm in the process of letting my boss know I'm leaving for the day to go turn some wrenches and hopefully the throttle!

Agree % had this issue with the rear brake and it was packed with dirt/dust/ grime. Pulled it off the rotor, removed the pads and cleaned up the piston areas with some brake dust cleaner and a toothbrush. Problem solved.

The square cut seal rings are what pull the pistons back when you release the pressure on the brake. And you could have a bad hose on that side. If opening the bleeder releases the drag, its the hose.

Past that we need to know what you are working on.

On the multi-piston calipers, drab is piston related or, the pad binding in the caliper.

On the single piston caliper, it can be the piston, but is more often the slider bushings the caliper moves back and forth on.

My Ď92 Ultra has single piston calipers, I took them apart today...the right side I could compress but was very hard(what I would think should be) but I donít know Iím just a dumb diesel mech!!! From what I have heard and read I think my pistons are gummed up and I need to take them apart...Iím going to try the slider bushing and the right side Ďbleedí to see if itís the hose or the piston*thank youThermodyne* also *Ohiobellboy* I do need to take them apart and clean if it is crystallized!

Well if you have it off, you might as well pop the piston out and rebuild it. As the seal rings wear, they loose their ability to deflect and pull the piston back. Replace the little rubber things the caliper slides on too. You'll prolly find a bunch of dirt behind the dust seal and a blob of goop behind the piston.

And even a diesel mech knows that what you do to one side you should do to the other too.

I took both front pads out of both sides and the bike still snakes down the road at anything over 70mph...would the new tire have a Ďtrackí that bad or if the disk is warped would it cut the wind that bad? (I donít think the disk is warped) no one in town has a magnetic dial indicator to check)....

I usually check on a piece of glass that I know is true and flat.

And some tire patterns suck. I am not a fan of any pattern that has a line down the center of the tire. The AE3 donít have one and they real nicely. Just my thoughts.
