2017 M8 Stock pipe and baffles
So I decided to cut my baffles out today. I want to run the TAB performance BAM Sticks but don't have the extra cash right now, So I gutted the stock pipes.
I used a 3" hole saw and cutting fluid to cut out the baffles. The cutting took about 4-5 minutes per pipe using my cordless dewalt drill.
Removing the fiberglass was the biggest pain. Most of mine came out in pieces and took a little time to clean out. I then painted the cut areas using some high temp black spray paint.
I'm happy with the sound. The bike sounds like a Harley now and I can delay the new slip-ons a little longer freeing up my spending money so I can get that seat I want.
