Slipons only and no tuner ok?

Wondering if I should go with Screaming Eagle slipons or maybe Rineharts; not planning on an air cleaner upgrade for now so hoping I won't need a tuner.
A bit worried about the whole warranty issue, so maybe SE is the way to go? Not sure how they sound though.

Anyone else installed slipons on their 2018 bike without a tuner?

Just slip-ons are okay with out a tuner. The cat in the head pipe is very restrictive. If you change the air cleaner also then a tuner will be needed.

I put 20526 miles on my 17 with just slip-ons.

What he said.

You can put slip-on's on your bike without needing a tuner.

If you put a high flow air cleaner on along with head pipes, you would need a fuel management system.

As far as your warranty, I would think twice about it.

Your Warranty is fine.....as long as you do not touch The CAT - Slip On away amigo....regardless of Mfg

As a sidebar, you will not get that "true" HD sound while the CAT is in regardless of what Slip On you choose - They will all sound "quieter"............BUUUUT, I did hear of a Co called "TAB Performance" that made a Slip On with a "Zombie Baffle" (loud enuff to wake the dead) that is designed for more sound....with the M8 CAT - Have not heard this one in person....just what others have told me and what Utube has showed me

I had the same question as you, and as most have said you should be ok but there are some exceptions. Fuel Moto said the M-8 is a much more finicky motor then the twin-cam and if you choose a slip on with a 3" chamber like the Basanni DNT or the CFR you are going to create issues without a tuner. Those happen to be the only slip-ons I was interested in so now I'm going to do the Fullsac cores.

What are the fullsac cores? Do you buy them outright?
Any idea how they sound?

You use you existing muffler body and install a new performance baffle. I have not seen one bad review

Yeah, that sounds cool. However, you need to buy some stock mufflers to modify so you have some OEMs to re-install when you bring it in for service.

And, do they sound better than Rineharts or S&S?

Dealers will not say a word about Stock Cans gutted - I have had my 1000K and 5K done and nothing mentioned at all - Hell, my dealer gave me my CVO cans and told me to put the Fullsacs in........will not hurt your warranty at all

Don't know if Fullsacs work on Stock Cans tho......I think they are designed for CVO Cans
