I have a 2012 rgu that came with the cheap screaming eagle slip ons I did not like how quite Thay are the guy I bought it from gave me the stock pipes which I think looks better . So I went to Home Depot and pick up a 1 3/4 in. Hole saw bit drilled out the stamped steel end the baffle is still in there . It sounds great very low bass rumble I still have the cat in the head pipe for now. Dose anybody know how the performance might be???
Yeah would like to see a video or detailed instructions. I've been looking for some slip on's myself and thought why not just drill out the oem slip on's. but I have not clue what needs to be down for that.
Did you have to remove the mufflers? I drilled out the exhaust on my 01 fat boy, but my 09 RG has metal that angles down and would be tough to go straight through...
Thanks
I used a plasma cutter on mine .... 15 seconds per cut ... It's gonna make ya say wow !!! That's better .... But you might get some deceleration popping .... I did but I've got a set of slips now . If I did it again I'd leave the packing in there and just take out the baffles
