Mid Frame Deflectors w/Classic Duals?

My bike had the Mid Frame Air Deflectors and I put on Rinehart Classic Duals. Obviously the left side cant go back on with the exhaust in the way. Seems kinda silly to keep the right side on without the left. I have an adjustable back rest so the lever is mounted on the left side top hole for the air deflector, and the exhaust kind of fills up the space so it doesn't look bad.

So have you guys just left them off? The right side looks kinda weird without the air deflector (to me anyway). There's also that gold colored press nut (or whatever they're called) on the right side. Anyone come up with something different to do with that space? Anyone cut down the left side deflector to fit with the exhaust in there? Any pics? Thanks!!
