S&s mk45 hufflers on m8

Who is running S&S MK45 Slip ons on their M8s. and do they like them better with or without the decibel reducers.

I'm running the Sidewinder 2-1 which I think uses a MK45 muffler. It sounds so good when it hits my ears! It purrs when it should and barks pretty damn good when you tell it to. I never even thought about taking the decimal reducer out of it because it sounds so good. Might sound completely different on a 2-1-2 system though.

I run the 45's with the db reducers on my 18. Love the tone. Nice and deep, but soft enough to hear the radio. With quite a lot of deep bark when I get on it.
Its just a stage two, so no need for wide open cans.

THe 45's are nowhere near as loud as the 4.5 High Outputs I run on the other scooter. But the 45 tone is deeper, and IMHO, better.

If you're just looking for loud, these are not the cans for you. But if you want a mellow deep tone from a straight through muffler, then this is the can to have.

Heard great things about them and really like what S&S is doing these days - I run the Slash Cut ECs on my Softail m8 114 Stage 2 and could not be happier - Quiet on start up, Deep on the Beans and 80 mph at 2900 RPMs I can hear the radio and am not blasted out by Pipe sound

The M8 is a tough old bird to get sound out of unless you start going up in the stages of a build.......or if you just run TAB Zombie Baffles which are pretty much just wide open Cans

Ran them on my 17 SGS,mellow at idle and cruise speed but nice deep tone. Sounded great when getting on it and decel. They sounded even better after I installed the S&S 475 cam kit. I’ll be doing the same set up on my 19 RGS after warranty.
