What oil filter did you use? Did you put oil in the engine and how much oil did you put in? What does your oil pressure gauge read?

used 4 quarts 20w-50, all harley products including filter, pressure is reading 32, standard oil change nothing unusual.

4 qts of oil is too much, you shouldn't put any more than 3 1/2 qts in the engine when doing a oil change.
But that isn't the problem, check the oil pressure sending unit and see if it is plugged in correctly.
Is it the oil light in the speed/tach bezel by the ignition switch or is it the engine light in the speedometer that is lit up??

The list of problems that will cause the oil light to stay on is

1-Improper circulation of the engine oil
2-low oil or diluted oil supply
3-problem with lamp wiring
4-faulty oil pressure sending unit
5-damaged oil pump
6-plugged oil filter element
7-incorrect oil viscosity
8-broken or weak spring in oil pressure relief valve
9-damage or incorrectly installed O-rings in engine

You may have got a bad oil filter try swapping out the oil filter and see what happens.

Just because there is oil in the filter doesn't mean it is circulating properly. When doing a oil change it is the only item that is replaced that will affect oil flow.

Good catch! The light bar in the bezel is in backwards.
