Best Oils

I have a 13 Roadglide, changed my oil to Amsoil 20w/50 full synthetic for the engine and Redline V-Twin full synthetic with shockproof. I noticed a big difference in the shifting with the the tranny oil (much smoother and no clunk from neutral to first) my question is, should I use the same oil (Amsoil) in the primary as I did in the engine or use something else. This is at 4500 miles, switched from Screaming Eagle Synthetic 20W/50 which was used in all 3 holes.

What was the question ??

No you should not use the same oil in the primary that you use in the motor ..

Motor oil is for the motor

Primary oil is for the primary

and

tranny oil is for the tranny

Several outfits say you can use the motor oil in all three holes , but I'm not gonna

At the recommendation of an Amsoil rep who also rides an Ultra Classic, I run Amsoil 20/50 in the engine, 10/40 in the primary, and 75/110 in the trans. I've been happy with the results, but there are hundreds of other good options too.
