Barnett's advice on Primary

Well on the Scorpion, still barking like a pup on take off. I called Barnett to see what fluid they recommend.

Their advice was the ATF with Dexron provided the smoothest engagement of their clutches.

So I changed the primary fluid and the engagement is smoother and no more barking like a pup.

Just thought I would let ya know.

If you ever need another one or can't find the brand you want check out B&M trick shift. it is and ATF as well and used in a lot of high end race builds.

I use type F for my Barnett clutches. That's what the instructions recommended.

On my '83 shovel I run the clutch dry with the factory belt drive. With Barrnet plates and springs I don't know how it could do anything but be off or on. lol
