Lucas Oil Synthetic 20W-50

Any of you Lucas Oil Synthetic 20W-50 users thoughts, comments, input on this oil??

I am long time Mobil 1 V-twin synthetic oil user but seems to be ticking noise in my 2016 RG that I cannot get out of my head looking for something to quiet it down just a little but want to stick with synthetic oil (I know conventional may help but prefer synthetic)

I also have tried the Lucas motorcycle oil stabilizer and did not seem to help!

My 2015 RGS is almost at 40,000 miles and I switched back to non synthetic oil "suggested by my dealer" and my bike is much quieter then when we were using full synthetic oil. I would try that and see if you get good results as well.

I use to run synthetic 20w50 and went to Lucas VTwin synthetic 50 weight. IMO it runs cooler and quieter. Options are like opinions - we all have them. I have no reason to change, until something better comes along.

08' FLTR - Customized!!! (Check my Albums)
05' SuperGlideCustom - sold

Did you go back to the Harley branded DINO or choose something else?

how about trying redline 20w/60? runs a little quieter for me, and keeps up some pressure longer in the hot la summer.

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.

I use synthetic Lucas oil stabilizer at about 20% and Mobil 1 20/50 at 80%. Never any problems.

If I remember correctly, HD calls for 50w above a certain ambient temp. 60, 80, hell I don't remember.

I have not tried Redline in engine; like I mentioned I used Mobil 1 forever and Redline transmission in tranny and Redline Primary in primary. Like the Redline but just crazy expensive now.

I have been using Lucas 10w50 for the last 2 years. Yup 10w50. I am pretty happy with it. Engine seems quieter than with 20W50 (another brand) that I used before that. I live in Ontario so spring and fall temps can get down to 10 degrees C so I like a 10W to get things moving in the mornings, plus I live in a rural area, no idling in traffic jams on hot days, so no worries about oil break down. I think the Lucas 20w50 would work fine.

About 500 miles ago I did my 5K service and I used one bottle of Lucas Oil Motorcycle Stablizer with my Mobil 1 and it did not seem to reduce engine ticking noise. I'm guessing that is about 10% of total volume; tomorrow I will look to see how many ounces it was.
