I'd go with synthetic. If you do your regular services either one is fine though.

Paying labor is not FREE? Not trying to sound like a dick, and free parts is better than nothing?

Do it yourself for the cost of fluids and an oil filter. It's cheaper and you don't have to futz around with appointments.

you're going to get a myriad of answers to that question. but the upshot is that syn3 oil is fine. are there better oils out there? depends. test after test has been done, and the answer is there is no one 'best' oil. some oils are better in one area than another but worse than another in a different area. I think that the biggest thing that people have against syn3 is that it is made by citgo.

use what you like, and what you can get your hands on when you're on the road. change it regularly and you'll be fine. when was the last time that you've read or heard about an engine failing due to what type of oil was being used?

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.
