Tranny oil or gear lube
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone is using 75 90 in the tranny? That is what i was using in my 05. Now that this in 2017 did the trannys change that much??

I doubt they changed other than adding a gear or two.

It's still basically the same as when it was only 5 speeds. Ball bearings, roller bearings and gears.
And if it will live on Syn3, then it will live on anything. 75-90 dyno or syn, 80-140 syn gear oil, Formula+, or any of the multitude of specialty fluids out there.
I use 80-140 syn gear oil in my 5 speeds and 75W140 Red Line Shockproof in my 6 speed.

75-90 is about the same as 20/50 They use a different method to figure each for some reason .

I use 75w140 full synthetic gear lube in my tranny and it has 100,000 plus trouble free miles. Do I need to say more?
