Thundermax firmware upgrade

For all you other TMax users - there's a new firmware download with "Wave tune" technology available now.

Go to: http://www.thunder-max.com/Support/T...xSoftware.aspx

and download the file. Supposed to tune 3x faster. They show an example: http://www.thunder-max.com/NewsAndEvents/WaveTune.aspx

I've updated my firmware and will ride tomorrow after work. Anxious to see how well it works.

I just upgraded the Tmax pc software & Tmax ECM firmware. In the process I adjusted the high rpm timing due to pinging. Took my FLTRU out for a two hour spin and it ran considerably better. My starting issues seem to be gone as well as the pinging. I'm very happy with the updates and so far so good!

Yep, updating, mine runs better on the updated map, mpg went up, starts easier, especially when hot.

It's not the most straight forward procedure. First go to http://www.thunder-max.com/Support/T...xSoftware.aspx then click the yellow disc and download the file to your hard drive. Open the file and click the "setup" file. It will then do its thing. You don't need to be linked to the bike to download but you do to actually do the update and if all else fails, email them, they reply fairly quickly.

look at the finish the wave tune smoothed out the performance but the stock t max even after it was finished was still rough makes you wonder if the t max without the upgrade was as good as they said it was
