Ecm password reset

I've just swapped my tssm for a tsm and I'm attempting to go through the procedure for resetting password for Ecm. Has anyone had success doing this for themselves without the dealer or shops. I've run through the it twice and it's about a half hour process. Third time isn't the charm. Lol any help would be much appreciated.

I have never had to do it but have heard its all in the timing if you miss a step by a minute then it messes up and you have to redo . Good luck getting it to mate

I've gone through the steps several times with a stop watch. I'm now at a loss. Where would I find the old password
