Stock Dyno results

To address the pinging issue my bike has had, my dealer installed a SE Pro Super Tuner. I got to ride it in warm weather this past week with temps in the upper 70 which would have had the bike pinging a bit before. NO PINGING so I'm feeling pretty good that we've got the problem beat. Without any other mods to the motor the dyno results are:
Max Power 70.23 / Max Torque 88.24 (tried to attach the dyno sheet but couldn't figure out how to upload a pdf file) Anyways, all the searching I have done for dyno results have been read outs for some type of mod or another. So I was wondering how my dyno results compare to other stock motors. (Quite frankly, i'm pretty please with how strong the motor feels) Anyone have some numbers for a direct comparison?

2019 Wicked Cherry RGU. And an even bigger smile than before.

I'd say those are great numbers for a stock motor.

Question for you.... what break-in procedure did you do? The factory method, or some other method? (e.g.: 3/4 throttle between certain rpms with lots of engine braking, then repeat; or full throttle w/lots of engine braking then repeat?)

The reason I ask is that from what I've seen with the 103, those that do a modified break-in seem to have around 70hp stock, and the one's that I know followed the factory directions always seem to be lower.

Just curious...

My breakins always followed the same procedure...ride the bike like you would ride a bike...this was confirmed by my local HD dealer...don't baby it...don't lug it in a high gear...don't drive it a a constant speed or RPM for any period of time for the first 1000 miles...after that change the oil and...off you go!

It's always interesting comparing dyno results from one dyno to another..

We used to dyno our bikes on the Dynojet 250i at the sport bike shop and get one number and then travel about 20 minutes to a local HD Shop that had that same 250i model dynojet and get results showing about 10 HP difference between the two. Which one was accurate? We will never know.

The best direct comparison will only happen when you do back to back runs with the bikes on the same dyno.

Agreed...

But I'll add this... my Vrod has been on 2 different dynos in 2 different states since adding the turbo, and pulled the same number (145). When my bike was fairly stock, one dyno read 105 and the other one was 112. I always believed the lower number. But for my bike to hit the same number on 2 different dynos now is very rare.
