Installed PCV from Fuel moto, lost all low range power
This weekend I put my PCV on that i purchased from Fuel Moto with pre downloaded map.
I have the Nightstick Slip on muffler right now with plans to change to Rinehart 2-1 later this fall or winter.
I also installed an Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage II AC.
First I installed the PCV, with just the slip on. I started the bike up for a bit and it seemed to run good at idle and the throttle seemed more responsive.
Then I installed the Ness AC.
I test rode the bike for about 70 miles yesterday, and it seems that i have lost my low range power.
I can now hear the AC sucking in air, and am concerned that maybe I am taking in too much air, or not enough fuel is being delivered.
The bike runs pretty hard after 3,000rpms, meaning, now i feel like I need to drive the bike at Higher rpms, but there is some lag or something until I hit higher rpms. I called Jamie at Fuel moto, and he said there should be any loss of power at lower rpms and they have tested this set up thousands of times.
He recommended just unplugging the PCV and ride the bike for awhile and see if i notice a difference. And then let him know and perhaps they can re download the map.
just wondering if you all noticed anything like this.
My pipes were turning golden with just the Nightstick slip on, but am thinking that they have really turned blue by the o2 bungs at the end of the head pipe since I installed the PCV and Air cleaner.
Any help or insight is appreciated!
