Power Commander Flat at 5000
I just installed a PC-V, once I got the computer talking to the unit, I loaded a map for my stage 1. Everything was ok, but rev limit was still at 5500. This Morning I found the Rev-Xtend setting and checked the box. Re-loaded the map. Now it sputters just before reaching 5000. "Bob" told me the tach would stop at 5000 rpms, but it would rev up to 6250. Nope, I almost flew over the handle bars, it felt worse than the timing retard with factory ECM. I found a string from 2011 where the issue was discussed. But, the issue is not the tach, the issue is the rev limit actually dropped. Or are they trying to tell me that the entire tach reading is off proportionately? It sure sounds and feels that the rev limit is now 5000. In the past I've only hit 5500 in first, or second, yet today hit the rev-limiter in the first four gears...
Anyone else having similar issues with PC-V or Rev-Xtend? I was hoping to ride this weekend rather than work on the bike... Thanks in advance.
