Older V&H Fuelpack install

I recently had a chance to get an older, new unused digital V&H fuel pack for a good price. I added high flow intake, (already had the pipes), and the FP in the last few days. It got above 40 degrees, so it was time to go try it out.
All I have to say is WOW!! WOW!!
What a difference. Don't know if it is the new intake or the tune, I am assuming it is the tune due to I already had stage 1 filter on the bike. So it has to be the new Flash on the ECM.
The throttle response is so much better and the motor runs smoother, and pulls better. Over all just like a different, better bike.
Can't wait to get the cams in and reflash it with the new code that V&H's gave me to use with the cams. I cannot say enough about how much it changed things, for the better. I cannot feel my finger tips any longer but I still had a ball wringing it out on the roads near me.

I had that V?H fuel pack on my 10 road king custom, with a KnN high flow breather and the V/H big radius pipes. And I agree wow! so easy to program and performance was top notch.

It sure is nice when a product performs as advertised...there are limitations with the older fuel pack, but for your "over the counter" type addon module, its hard to beat, IMO.

Glad you're pleased with the results.

I've had a fuel pack on the bike since new. It is a very entry level tuner but it works great. Very easy to program and made a big difference. Plus V&H has great customer service if you have any problems. I had my original fuel pack fail, I contacted them and they told me to send it to them for diagnosis. I had a new one within a week. They will also work with you if you decide to change pipes and get popping

Newer ones are much more advanced and now include cams. You can choose between a bunch of common cams from several manufacturers.

Good to hear of the positive results with the older Fuelpaks. I researched the heck out of tuners after getting my new-to-me RGC, and, for my needs, I settled on the Fuelpak LCD, which I'm assuming we are talking about here. I am only going to do a stage 1 and I don't want to monkey with the ECM itself, so I don't need the higher end stuff that reprograms it. Already have the V&H HO slip-ons, and the SE breather is next along with the Fuelpak. If I am not happy with this setup I will change out the headpipes to get rid of the cat next.
